Join us for the Empowering Families Workshop, a unique and interactive experience designed for both parents and students to gain clarity, confidence, and direction.
In today’s fast-changing world, success is not just about academics, it starts with understanding the system, customizing student high school experience, and supporting students both emotionally and strategically. This workshop will guide families through the education system, help students navigate high school with purpose, and provide real tools to plan for college and future careers.
Participants will engage in hands-on sessions, connect with experienced mentors, and gain valuable insights to make informed decisions that open doors to future opportunities. We will also address an important foundations for success: mental health and emotional well-being, helping families better support their students through pressure, expectations, and real-life challenges.
During the event, families will hear directly from inspiring student leaders and speakers:
• Our Vice President and high-achieving student explaining how to navigate the US education system strategically graduation with over 60 college credits and several academic merits.
• Luz Clavijo Mojica, a Colombian Windermere High School Valedictorian 2025-2026 student sharing her journey and insights on successfully maneuvering high school and getting accepted to her dream school.
• Our Founder and President presenting Empower Teens United programs, workshops, and opportunities available to support students and families
• A special guest, Camila Abreu, Teen Icon USA 2026, speaking on mental health, student pressures, and the importance of emotional support.
This event will be hosted in English, Spanish, and Portuguese to support our diverse community. In addition, community partners and institutions will be present to provide resources, information, and direct support to families.
This is more than a workshop, it is a space to learn, connect, and grow together as a family.
